About
The postures we will focus on are Crow (Bakasana), Side Crow (Parsva Bakasana) and Scissor Leg Side Crow (Eka Pada Koundinyasana I). There will be the options to work on more challenging postures such as Eight Limbed Pose (Ashtangasana), Hurdlers Pose (Eka Pada Koundinyasana II) and Firefly (Tittibhasana).
We’ll also include fun transitions from other poses to really integrate the skills you will learn into a flowing yoga practice.
We’ll easily break down each pose in different ways, working on strength and alignment in a yoga flow to prepare your body without tiring it out. Building on the foundations that are already in your yoga practice (e.g. Chaturanga!) and applying this to arm balances.
Arm balances can be challenging on the body and mind, so we will include lots of time to rest and reset, ending with a nourishing savasana for complete relaxation. We’ll have a break halfway with herbal teas available and opportunity to connect with others. I encourage all to take rest when needed and go at a pace that suits their body. I will always offer modifications and there will be lots of time off our hands, so it is not too much strain for your wrists.
